Statue en pierre de divinité féminine (900 - 1450). Les Huaxtèques, ou Huastèques, sont un peuple du Mexique qui font partie des civilisations précolombiennes et dont la culture est apparue vers le 10e siècle avant notre ère. Vaincus par les Aztèques au XVe siècle, puis conquis par les Espagnols au XVIe siècle, ils resterait aujourd'hui moins de 70000 représentants de cette antique civilisation.

Defeated by the Aztecs in the fifteenth century, then conquered by the Spanish in the sixteenth century, they would remain today less than 70,000 representatives of this ancient civilization.
